Christine Pollock
Christine Pollock loves to tell people that she watches TV for a living - a true fact that’s also appreciated by her children.
For over a decade Christine has reviewed television shows and films; interviewed talent related to filmmaking including over a hundred producers, directors, actors, musicians, and screenplay writers; and written recommendations for dozens of hard copy magazines and online magazines around the country. This writing includes writing official film reviews for Amazon.com. In addition to writing for Suite 101 as Topic Editor for Children’s TV and Film, Christine also enjoys writing content for My Healing Kitchen, writing film reviews for The Coalition for Quality Children’s Media-KIDS FIRST!, and writing lesson plans for Book Rags.
Before writing full-time, when her children were younger. Christine ran a licensed Head Start home daycare. She also homeschooled her three boys for several years and is embarking on the homeschool journey once again in the fall of 2011. Her BS in Elementary Education and love of children manifest themselves in an interest for writing on these topics in addition to visual media. Christine has a blog about enhancing family life with technology called TechieFamily, and she has written an ebook entitled Beyond the Bed: Ways to Help Others When You Are on Bed Rest.
